Depends on the visa office, and if you paid the RPRF upfront. If you have to pay it now, it will delay them issuing the visa waiting for their systems to show it is paid. If you paid it right away, it's entirely possible they can stamp it and send it back within a few days. Check threads based on your visa office for a better picture of how long people normally wait.
My husband went through Rome and it took 8 weeks for the passport to be returned, and we paid the fee 2 business days before they received his passport. They sent an email the day they received his passport asking about the fee. Even though we replied saying it was paid on x date, they still put the case aside and looked at it again much later.
