How long to police certificates take to get in the U.S.A?

I'm looking into the steps and timing also. The certificates are good for three months, I believe so when should I go for mine? I'm looking at all my forms here and want to make sure I grab the right one(s).

The certificates are actually good for an entire year!

FBI website indicated 5-6 weeks processing time. Since I'm living in Canada, I've added 3 weeks on to that timeframe, so I say two months. I'm going to rush deliver the paperwork to the FBI but I doubt they'll return the favor.

The certificates are actually good for an entire year!

Yes, but they must be received by CIC within the first three months.

Note - the address CIC recommends you mail the form to has an extra line in the address than the FBI address.
