How long to get a passport request from Singapore after got CSQ?

Hey all,

I hope someone can enlighten me about this..

My PR application has been processed in Singapore office since June 2010, and I received my CSQ in September 2010, which is forwarded to Singapore right away..
Until now my application status in E-cas is stiill 'In process', and I havent heard anything from them, how long usually it takes for them to make a decision about your application after they received CSQ and send you the request for passport letter?

It's the thread for outland applications to Buffalo, page 137 on November 16-ish.

as per this thread its advisable to fax them a copy yourslef.

Sorry Indo lady, I can't help you with a timeline on that because we are not going to Quebec so we didn't need the CSQ. But if it helps you at all, our application started processing at the end of August of this year and we got our pp request at the beginning of this month.

OMG thats so quick, you're so lucky! does E-cas update your status frequently? coz its been th same thing since 6 month a go..
and in what form they request your pssport? mail or e-mail?

They haven't ever updated my E-Cas. Once the sponsorship was approved it said decision made and then the Application has said 'in process since the first day my E-Cas account became active. They requested my passport through the mail. I have never gotten any email from Singapore about anything.

I think our application went fast because it was very straight forward, we don't have kids etc. and we submitted everything, like the payment, police clearances, photos etc. all at the same time.

Thanks for replying, my application was very complete too (police clearances from 2 countries, photos, e-mails, phone bills, etc) and we dont have kids yet, but we chose to pay 2 times, half in the beginning and we plan to pay the rest when its approved.

Do you think its the reason that my case is delayed?

Um, I am not sure, we paid everything at once though. Probably it is the CSQ thing because that is extra stuff that Singapore is looking into. It seems too, on the Singapore thread that most people that had straight forward cases and applied in July/August have gotten replies already. So, my best guess it that it is the Quebec thing holding you up. But again this is only my opinion.

hmm either that or the payment i guess..
but i sent them an e-mail few days a go with my CSQ attached, just to make sure they already got it (ex. MICC doesn't have problem to forward it to them)
just in case its because of the payment, think will pay the rest on monday through online payment.
fingers crossed im gonna hear something from them soon.
