Just how long it will be? If it'll be more than 15 months I need to find a way to dodge LMIA and extend my WP again ... >:(

My estimation is most of applicants waited ~135 days for received AOR, plus another ~165 days for MR, then plus another 5 to 6 months after MR for the PPR. Total will be about 15 to 16 months.

Although at this moment the CEC processing time on CIC website says 12 months, I don't LMAO believe 12 months will be it.

Any other estimations and comments?

Thanks

Why do you need LMIA?

As long as you have AOR, you can apply for BOWP within 4 months prior your Work Permit expiry date. And once you have BOWP in place, you are off the hook of any limitations Closed Work permit applies to you.

I guess when I have AOR I don't need LMIA to extend WP to a BOWP, but I am only 90% certain.
In 2014 I don't have AOR (coz I waited 135 days for AOR and July/August applicants' were ~60 days >:(), and I used up my 3-year PGWP, then I applied a spousal open WP (SOWP) and got it approved for 1 year only.

The "4 year maximum" remark on my 1-year SOWP concerns me. It says "FOUR YEAR MAXIMUM AS PER [R200(3)(G)] NO FURTHER EXTENSIONS".

So I am not certain if my AOR alone can get my BOWP by the time when SOWP expires. “NO FURTHER EXTENSIONS” LMAO. If AOR is still good for BOWP then CIC has been making things super contradicting, unclear and confusing ???.

The criteria for a BOWP is:

1. Application for PR made
2. AOR received
3. WP about to expire
4. Applicant has a valid WP
5. Applicant is in Canada

You will be ok

Funito ......... then no can do.

Won't get BOWP if WP has expired.
