How long the passport has to be valid for when sending for PR Stamping

Hi..I am an ON PNP Inland applicant waiting for PR since long...Just noticed that my passport is going to expire in about 6 months. I can't recall but is there such a rule when they request for passport (PPR), it has to be valid for 6 months?

I beleive this rule is in place only for the puroses of visa, not sure if it applies to PR.

for 6 months atleast, anything less than that you have to contact cic and let them know.
