My brother, his wife and their one year old daughter visa is declined. They paid taxes and had good income. My sister in law is a teacher and my brother is a farmer. She got the letter from school for 3 weeks visit to Canada. Everything was legit. They did showed their property papers, bank statements. PPF funds, income tax returns. They were coming on my birthday party. But their visa got declined. The reasons were travel history, financial assets. I can’t say if their travel history will get change for the second application.
I want to know if anyone can help me I would really appreciate it if they should reapply. How long they should wait and fix all the doubts that visa officer had.

What country did they apply from?
Have they travelled to other countries before? Include details about those travels to support passport photos.
Also- your next application should address all the reasons it was declined

They applied from India through paper based application. Unfortunately, they have not travelled anywhere else. My sister in law is full time school teacher. She can’t really take time off to go anywhere else. I think this time if they apply they will only intend to come for two weeks. Last time they showed three weeks vacations. Did not get their visa. Thank you very much for your reply.
They will get their passports today. Then I will provide details regarding their refusal.

If she is a teacher she should plan to travel during a school holiday. A birthday is not really viewed as a reason for travel by CIC. One of the issues is the whole family is traveling. I would be much better if either their child or one of the adults stays at home. They should also show $1000/week per person plus airfare. Their savings shouldn't be depleted by the visit even if you will be paying for things. You can apply again if you have made changes to their application but then stop applying. Too many applications in a row shows desperation to enter Canada.

1. Wanting to attend birthday parties are not compelling reasons to visit especially for first time travelers.

2. Visiting with the entire family, too, puts them at risk of over staying their visit.

3. As a farmer, how did your brother pay taxes on agricultural income? Most farmers seek to avoid paying taxes by submitting Form J.

4. Does your brother legally own the land? Or is it shared ownership?

4. As school has recently begun, it would seem unusual that your sister-in-law is able to take time off.

5. PPF cannot be shown as funds available for the visit.

6. Typically, the salaries earned by school teachers (especially if it is a government school) is not much to ensure that someone would return to India.

When they reapply, I would recommend:
1. They apply during the sister-in-law's school break.

2. Do not apply for their daughter.

3. Prove they have other ties to return home to, including proving the agricultural and school ties are strong.

4. Do not visit for your birthday. The reasons for the visit must be more stronger than this plus backed by a day-by-day plan
