How long should my payment take to be in my bank account ?

Hello everyone I have a question about payments (direct deposit to my bank account) I am working full time getting paid (as I been told 40 hours a week) Bi-Weekly payment. The company gives my payslip through online. The pay period shows from Dec 08 to Dec 21 but the actual deposit will be on 30 Dec I completed the full time hours and days as well why this delay ? is this how company hold the payment ? I heard it is one or two days but not a week or 10 days what I should do this is not the first time it's the 5th time ! please am I missing something ?

Not sure anyone here can comment as they have no idea about the payment process used by the company you work for . Given is the 5th time assume you have questioned the company directly. Dec 21 through Dec30 would be unique anyway given the few actual business days due to Christmas.

You might want to have a discussion with your payroll or HR department as companies have different policies so anyones opinion on here will not be much use.

OK thank you. I am asking here to have an idea whom should I ask. Now I know is Payroll & HR but why hold it for that long ? is there any information I can check in the job offer ?

they calculate payment a week later after the period. same case for me, nothing unusual
