I'm leaving this February with approved IMMIGRANT VISA, I just want to know if how long should I stay in Canada to be able to sponsor my dependent child? I have two kids. declared and examined already.... I have read that income requirement is exempted if you are sponsoring a dependent child..Can I submit sponsorship approval after 3-6 months stay in Canada??? PLS HELP. I REALLY WANTED MY KIDS ASAP WITH ME IN CANADA

Don't worry. You can sponsor just after arriving in canada. I arrived in Canada sept 17, 2011 and sent sponsorship application for my spouse and dependent child on september 28, 2011. I am already approved.

I have submitted my sponsorship application for my dependent children age 15 and 12, last July 25, 2012...to mississauga...HOW LONG should I wait for their decision? and how will i know if I am approved....is it thru mail directed to my residential address? or thru my email i provided with my application.
I hope someone would reply, I really need to know......pls

...I am really worried , i have submitted my sponsorship application for my two kids-July 25,...until now, i'm still waiting...I always check my emails, nothing fron CIC.....by the way. i have a question, did you have a good paying job when you submitted your application? Can i follow up or call CIC regarding my application.
I just landed in Vancouver last April 2012, and then my spouse, just a month later...on July, we submitted the application...I hope all is well with the forms i have submitted, i really had a hard time filling out the forms.. i have two kids and when I was typing their names in the application, only one name is accepted and so what I did--- I prepared two separate application forms for my 15 yrs old and 11 yrs old. oh my.. have I done it correctly?

Don't worry. If you check the spreadsheet I mentioned before, you'll notice CIC is now processing applications received by Jul 10. You should hear from them in less than a couple weeks. Financial situation and having or not a job don't matter to sponsor dependent children. I guess you've done it correctly submitting 2 applications.
