how long it will take to get PR card and should i stay in canada?

Hi

I have got pr under FSW. I am working as engineer in oil and gas company in Sarjah (indian resident) and planning to come toronto in may 10th and stay in toronto for 10 days and return to my job in sarjah after completing all application process.

could anyone tell me will this be okay to return back to sarjah and search for jobs as i cant leave my current job before i get something appropriate in canada .

my agent says i can give me friends address and pr card will be delivered in few weeks after i return.

please help me

Generally PR card arrives in 6 to 8 weeks time. We need to give canada address for PR card delivery.

can any one tell me what all documents should i carrry...i plan to stay for 10 days make all procedures and than leave for dubai.

My agent says that I need to prepare some travel document before i leave from canada to dubai and carry 15000 cad while entering canada

are you sure about 2 out of 5 years. As I have heard it is 3 out of 5 or 4 out of 6. Can anyone verify this please.

Are you absolutely sure that I can do this? I have the same problem, I can only stay in Canada for 10 days and I have to return to London.

Just to be safe are you able to delay your flight by a few days until your Apr card comes to your nominated address? That way you will be 100% sure not hing can go wrong.

You've put in so much effort to get your PR, so if you can avoid throwing it away on a technicality why not try it if you can.

Our relatives in Canada are saying that they can't courier our PR card as if its been caught while sending it via courier outside Canada, CIC cancels PR as it is not allowed to courier the PR card.
They are saying that the applicants should stay in Canada to get the PR card themselves.

Is it true? Has anyone got cancelled PR when they tried to get the cards by courier outside Canada?

I have read that many people get it by courier while being outside Canada. We were planning to just got for a week and apply PR cards and then wait in our home country until we sell and finalise everything.

Your relatives are misinformed/lying/paranoid/cheap.

CIC uses regular mail when sending PR cards (signature/personal appearance not required at all), what makes them think a courier will be any different.

Can I use my existing work permit and work visa valid till oct 2017 to reenter canada while PR card is in progress? Have to go to US for a short trip. Driving through border is not an option. Any response would be appreciated.
