Hi ,

I have been sponsoring by my mother who have permanent resident of Canada . I got my new medical examination before one month and CIC has already received my medical results. When I get in online service I am gonna see like this :-

Permanent Residence

1- We received your application for permanent residence on January 23, 2012.

2- We started processing your application on February 28, 2014.

3- Medical results have been received.

So I am asking do some body have any idea how long it takes getting the VISA. please help me ...

As far as I know those guys check Medical and criminal records when all other documents are done. As on ecas for your case it says medical is received, it is not matter of time for them to ask passport. That should not be that long. Could be couple of months.

while this information may be true for SPOUSAL sponsorship, the original poster is sponsoring a parent, and that process is competely different. For the original poster, i would suggest finding the PARENT'S SPONSORSHIP thread and asking there. There will be more people in your category to give you an idea as to what to expect.

I think maybe the op is the one being sponsored by his/her mother?

if that's the case, they can probably find an estimate in the thread specific for their visa office. i am not familiar with whether the processing time is similiar to spousal sponsorship in this case.
