How long it takes to get LMIA

Hello All,

I have applied for LMIA on 22 September 2014 , did anybody know how long it takes to get positive LMIA?

Typically somewhere between 6 and 16 weeks. However we do have a number of people here who have been waiting quite a bit longer. And it does seem like the majority of LMIAs are taking at least a couple of months to be approved.

Just to add, there has been a bit of a backlash against the worker visas in certain areas making them harder to get and so they are taking their sweet time.
