how long it takes for cic to reply after summitting the final required doc. plz

hi,
I applied for PR in Nov'05 from London, and received the AOR on right time, then in Feb'08 they asked for the updated forms, police clearence certificates and proof of funds. I was unable to submit police clearence from Pakistan at that time as i applied from Pakistani High commission and they never came back even after three reminders. After submitting the updated forms, police certificate from London and proof of funds, the cic send an other letter in May'08 asking for police clearance certificate from Pakistan, and all original educational documents of mine and of my spouse. I submitted all these documents a week later then the given date, does it make any difference and normally how long they take to tell about the next step after receiving the original documents.
Please the senior members let me know about your views.

Hi,sfkiyani1, i m sorry i dnt ve any idea abt ur query but i hope other members ll b able to give u some advice,also my query ll keep ur post alive. i just want to ask u tht r u sure tht u applied in Nov,2006,as according to my info London office s now processingi.e.requesting update docs.from May 06,applicants only,then how can it ask u ppl to update in Feb,08.Which category u applied for,or u ve an AEO,or u r already in Canada.If its not any of the above mentioned cases,its quite strange.All the best to u.

Hi,although i dnt ve idea abt the exact situation of submitting the docs.after the deadlines,but i can say tht u shd visit www.trackitt.com to see average timings of different ppl,during various stages of PRship.hope it helps,cheers.

we are in same postion i mean me and my wife and we also got the letter in may in which they asked about the original doucments but in the requested letter of cic.they clearly mentioned that they will take from four to six months or you read again and then reply me also we submitted our doucments in end of june but still we don't have any reply if you have got any answer kindly also reply me or guide me thanks

Actually you are right it was written in the letter that allow atleast four months to review the incoming correspondence but my consultant was telling me that may be we will hear from them by September. In my case in Feb'08 they asked me to send the police clearence certificates, proof of funds and updated forms only and then in may'08 they asked me again to submit all original transcripts of mine and my spouse and updated reference letters from the employer and proof of relationship in Canada and one of police clearence certificates from Pakistan as i was unable to submit them in the first request.
What about you did they asked you twice as well or not and from where and when did you applied for immigration. Keep in touch and best of luck

sorry for the late reply infact i changed the house i.e we are busy actually iam passing from the same situation i applied from saudia arabia and now iam in glasgow they asked me t upgrade the doucments from me in january i made it then in mid of may they asked about the original documents actually i submitted the police clearence certificate from pakistan and saudia arabia but they asked me two times then i was able to submitted . Therefore it does not the matter imp things they asked about ur original documents and now they are veryfing process and hopefully in this month we are expecting to get some news and if you get any then let me also because iam also very mcuh desperate to know about this .

thanks for your reply well definitely i will let you know when there will be any progress, and you asked me about the consultant i applied through WWICS they are quite good. Which consultants were those in Pakistan do tell me. I will keep in touch Inshallah hope to hear good news from mine, yours and everyone's end.

NO I ONLY SUBMIT THE ORIGINAL WORK EXPERIENCE LETTER FROM PAKISTAN AND U.K
AND ALL OTHER DOCUMENTS ARE NOTARIZED PHOTOCOPY

I APPLIED IN NOV 2005
IELTS REQUEST APRIL 08
DONE IELTS IN AUGUST
SUBMIT IELTS IN SEP 08

I HAVE A QUESTION AFTER SUBMITTING THE DOCUMENTS HOW MANY MONTHS DO WE HAVE TO WAIT FOR THE MEDICALS REQUEST.

1.I would advise you not tosend original documents but take them to a lawyer/solicitor to notorise docs
2. It takes a while for them to look at your qualifications etc to provide you with points so you should count at least a year ( from providing qualifications, certs and work experience and bank statemesnts.
3. Once they are certisfied, the cic will ask for medicals etc and then after 3 months request for ppt then in a matter of weeks you will go and collect your ppt.

So generally should count a year before yourare issued with pr.

everyone once again iam late in my reply there are no.of questions are avilable in the forum any way first saima inshillah we will get the reply in sept or start of october most probably because in the letter or the cic request they mentioned it clearly .
Secondly ali you asked about the why we submitted our original documents becasue they asked about the orginals documents certificates and transcript and this is mentioned in the letter that you submit all original because these notarized documents doesnt worth secondly i don't have the idea when u submit your application and if they asked u ielts then you submit unless and untill they don't asked about the doucments you don't need to submit the original one when the time will come they will aske from you the original one , i think they didnt ask you to submit the doucments any way when they ask you submit the doucments in that letter they menitoned it very clearly that this is the last step of our correspondence and we didnt ask you any thing further and you wait for atleast four months ok i hope now u understand and u very well that we are master in making false thngs thats why they ask original documents and after this there is no need for the interview also
After submitting these documents in three to four months u get reply and then they ask about medical and then they ask about the pasport so it will take four to five months don't worry
