Hi friends
I am canadian citizen
This js my second marraige. I got divorced before 5 years.

I have sponser my second spouse from india and submitted file for PR in July 27.
After submitting file after 1.5 months I came back to india to spend time with her.

It's been 3.10 months and I haven't recieved acknowledgement letter and file number.
I tried to call cic call centre but number not working as I am in india rightnow and I have to make call from canada.

Any suggestions how much time it takes to recieve file number .

Right now, it's taking 62 days for assessment of sponsor. CIC is working on applications received Sep 2nd. You may want to send a case specific inquiry to CPC-Mississauga but I don't know the email address. Do you have a Client ID number? It's the 8 digit number found on a work or study permit or visa (if you've ever applied for one). If you do, you can use it to check your online status for now until you hear from CPC-M.

i received an email on July 11th stating that CIC had received our application on June 4th. that email included our application number and our UCI.

the current outland application processing time for Sponsor Approval is 62 days, so you should have your Sponsor Approval by now. did you select to have CIC contact you by email? and if so, have you been checking your junk folder?

i don't know how you can contact CIC by phone from outside Canada, but here are the email addresses of the Visa Office your application was likely sent to:

General: DELHI-IMMIGRATION@international.gc.ca

Case specific: https://secure.cic.gc.ca/enquiries-renseignements/case-cas-eng.aspx?mission=new delhi

hope that helps!

I have submitted my file through agent in canada.
Don't have any number yet
I talked to my agent before 2 hr s
He told he call cic call centre and the replied that its still in process.

So , don't have any idea what to do.
I think it's been 3 months and 10 days already.
I am going back to canada in January.
So don't know what to do now ??? Worried and confused.

if you're able to get on ECAS to check your status, you've got all the information you need.

is it the Sponsor portion showing 'In Process' or the Applicant portion? if it's the Sponsor portion, make sure it hasn't gone past the 62 days of processing time - if it's within the time frame, you're fine. if it's beyond the time frame, your agent/lawyer should contact CIC and find out what's going on. if it's the Applicant portion showing 'In Process', you're onto the second part of the application, and you're fine.

either way, your application has been received and is being worked on. sit tight and wait for CIC to contact you if they need more information or want to interview your wife.

I have a very similar issue like yours. I submited my application on Sept 1, so far, I didin't hear any information from CIC. I am nervous as well. I just want to get the result, whether it is aprove or not that fine for us. Cuz my husband can use other methods like express, ontario nominate to apply immigration. Sponsorship we chose is because it seems faster.
