How long it take to get back passport after request from CHC Newdelhi INDIA

Hi

Imran here i have applied for an permanent visa under Spouse Family class. I have submitted my application on sep 2009 along with my medical. And now on 24th Dec 2009 i got and letter from CHC Newdelhi India requesting my passport. I have courier them my passport along with the letter as per there request on 29th DEC 2009 and they have received it on 30th Dec 2009 but they havent asked for any photo. I want to know how long does it take to get back the passport along with stamp on it and it mean that i have got the visa.

Any one having knowledge regaring this plz help me out.

Looks like you might be done with your application...congrats!

It usually takes two-four weeks to get a passport back.

we were not asked for photos either, and received our passports with visa without any problems. they ask for photos only if they are not satisfied with them.

My husband's application was processed through New Delhi. It took 16 days for his PP to be returned to him. Usually it takes 2-3 weeks through ND, but it can take longer as they also do a background check at this time. Good luck!

Hi, can anyone tell me if the delhi office update che ecase from the time processing starts to decision made?? I mean from long time in my case it is only 1 line started processing XXX application on sept. But do they update in between like medical recieved or something else before updateing to decision made??

Imran does the Online Status still shows - In Progress. You mentioned that CHC New Delhi started reviewing your PR application on 28 Oct 2009 and you got a letter on 24 Dec 2009.

My canadian wife has sponsored me and CHC New Delhi started working on my application for PR from 6 Nov 2009 and the status is still In Progress and I didn't receive any LETTER from CHC to submit passport.

Yes its still shows in progress. It takes 3 to 3.5 months to get the letter if every thing is right. may be you will by end of feb. Just have relax and do not worry

Hi..friends.

Finally I got PPR by post today.They send all my wedding picture and marriage invitation card & other doc back with latter thr indian post.
They requested to send me passport through secured mail.

What shoul i interpet this as???
Will they ask me for interview in future or they would stamp visa on it???
