how long it take to get approval from cic?

For us it took 29 day for Sponsorship approval..On average it takes 35 - 41 days, I think it depends on how may applications are recieved at the time you applied and how extensive the checks are on you...
I think ours was quick because we provided extra Proof..for example my Husband went bankrupt in 2007..We gave CIC a copy of his discharge Certificate..and also a copy of a recent letter from Family Responsibility Office showing that my Husband pays his child support etc..these are things that are not on the check list..but will save the IO a lot of time..as they have to run checks on everyone to make sure they are not bankrupt or in default of any payments..as these issues will stop Sponsors from being approved..

My application was sent in mid-may and Ive already received first stage approval. Hence, they are reviewing most May applicants now.

Therefore Applications received After 1st June are being processed! It took only 29 days for us, many other people are getting their approval around day 35!
