Hi everyone,

I’m typing up my spousal sponsorship supporting letter for my wife and I’s Outland Spousal application.

How long is too long? Can it be too long? Right now I’m sitting at about 2 1/2 pages Times New Roman single spaced. In it, I describe our meeting, trips, relationship progression, wedding, some emotional anecdotes, and our future plans.

Am I overthinking this?

Thank you!

Make it short and factorial. Do not put in emotional things like oh.. I miss her and she really misses me and cries everyday (or vis versa)
Meeting date, who introduced/how you met if not introduced, wedding date and date or meeting parents/important relatives...etc.
Future plan is OK but keep it short as well.

Yes, too long, and almost certainly overthinking. Switch to bullet points, remove anything with long explanatons unless critical, focus on factual. Physical time together more important.

Also make it easy to read. Don't make it single spaced.

I’ve got it down to two pages!

I feel like I’ll have to keep coming back to it to cut things out - I try to remember that I also include personality in the photos and photo descriptions.
