How long does your Canadian Passport have to be valid in order to be able to enter into the U.S???

Normally they say it has to be valid for the duration of your trip. However, I have heard they have been saying 3 months now. Best solution is to check voyage.gc.ca and see what the requirements listed are or call US Customs at 703-526-4200

When my fiance went through last week he was just under four months and they barely let him in with a word of caution. They wanted to see at least six months.

If you hold a Canadian passport, you only need to have it valid for your trip. You do not need extra time on it.
