How long does the security clearance take for global talent stream?

Good day/night everyone,

Last year I applied for work permit with global talent program to immigrate to Canada and I completed the biometric process at Ankara office on January 3, 2020, but I didn't receive any update about my visa application and my profile just shows: Background check

I followed up from Ankara office and they informed me that they are waiting for Interpol and Iran to provide security clearance on my application, I just wanted to open this thread to find out has anyone had a similar case? Is there any promising action on my side or so?

Your application looks like in Security Screening. You can determine whether CBSA or both, CBSA and CSIS, are involved in the security screening. To find when the security screening request was sent or when an agency concluded its involvement, request CBSA notes or CSIS notes. With the help of the notes you will be able to know where your application is and whether CBSA / CSIS have provided their reports to IRCC and if the delay is at the end of IRCC.
