Hi all,
I submitted my application for PR renewal in May 2015, this is September 2015 got email for second REVIEW although the documents I sent were 100% perfect and will leave no doubt to CIC that I have been living in Canada for at least 900 days straight! Unfortunately, CIC loves to give people who spent some times out of Canada some pain. My question is, I got a business that requires me to travel NY, USA. I don't want to lose this opportunity for that business which if I lost, I'll never be able to get a chance like this again!Trips to NY will be for 2-3 weeks HOW LONG WILL Canadian embassy take to issue PRTD? what are the chances of refusing to issue this PRTD? at that time, I'll have at lest 3 years straight in Canada and I can PROOF IT but I don't want to get referred to secondary review in PRTD that will take 8 months trapped in NY.

Thank you all in advance.

Return to Canada by land and use COPR. Bring all your evidence (of 900 days spent in Canada) with you, so in case you get referred to secondary inspection you can you show you are not in breach of RO.

Thank you David for your response. The thing is, those guys are bullying us. I mean the docs I sent in my PR renewal file will never leave a second of doubt that, I have been in Canada for 900 days or more straight yet, they referred me to a secondary review. Those guys make their own rules and no one can challenge them NO MATTER WHAT! I don't want to go out of Canada and then I get bully-ed abroad and wont be able to come back when my house and family and properties are in Canada and I'm locked out!.

Thanks

You are PR and you have COPR. They have no right to deny you entry on land crossing. Worst case scenario: they refuse to accept your proof and report you at POE (I don't believe this is going to happen, but let's say it does). If so, then you go to court and show to judge your evidence.

This won't happen if you return by car by land.

By air/commercial travel, you *might* be refused boarding if you don't have a visa-exempt passport.

I'm not sure why you qualify secondary review as "bullying"? Annoying? Yes, absolutely.

As you feel very strongly about this, AND it's impacting your livelihood (this IS important and noteworthy), why not contact your MP?
