My wife got her visa and I booked her ticket with air canada coming from
Jordan - Londong - Calgary

then air canada cancelled our connect flight through london and the only alternative is
Jordan - London - Edmonton - Calgary

which means the "landing" has to be done in Edmonton. I am tryin to figure out how much time I should give myself in edmonton to do the landing stuff. Should I have a 1 hour gap, or more like 3?

also, will there be any issues/more work if we land in edmonton then come home (calgary)?

Thanks!

The landing process itself takes about 20 minutes judging by what people here have posted. You might, however, have to stand in line forever if you're unlucky. Maybe you could land at your final destination rather than at your stopover?

It took me about 20 minutes in Toronto last week. I had 1hr 50mins between flights and was feeling anxious beforehand, but everything went smoothly.

No choice you "land" at the first arrival port in Canada, as the flight then becomes domestic.

Yeah, that is correct, on the flight between Toronto and Vancouver, I didn't have to go through customs and just walked out of the airport. I thought initially that I could do the process in Vancouver, but was put right on here a couple of weeks ago.
