Nobody can say because there have been no announcements about next year’s program. They are likely to change the program after all the programs this year plus there is an election. The entrance requirements may mean that you don’t qualify to apply.

No, they are relatively low priority applications.

The demand for sponsoring parents is currently around 10 times the number of spots. Just want to stress that you can try to sponsor your parents if you qualify next year but you shouldn't be counting on your parents receiving PR in the next year or two. They always have the opportunity to visit you for longer periods of time using a supervisa.

thanks for replying. i did assume that the demand must be high but thought that a lot of people may not meet the requirements they have set such as minimum salary required for atleast 3 years etc.

The minimum salary required is extremely low based on the actual cost of living. Not sure how some of these families actually afford to support more people especially in large cities.
