How long does it take to receive application number after submitting PR Application in NON EE ontario Pnp stream ?

I submitted my application in June 2023, received an email stating that application has been submitted successfully. In the PR Portal itself, I see my application but in a non edit/view form. I am worried if there is something that needs to be done or if IRCC will reach out to me. Can anyone please share how long does it take to receive application number ? I can't contact IRCC by phone since I don't have application number yet.

You can call them by providing your UCI number and ask for TFN (temporary file number) of your application.

What does it give us? What can we do having temporary number?
