I got a letter from the canadian office to redo my medical and police certificate so i did everything on the 4 of september.
my question is ,how long would it take to get my PR after redoing my medical?on the letter that i got from the embassy, its written 12 weeks max.is it true?thanks

some may take 6 to 8 weeks I have read not sure how true that is as each VO is different

My husband re-did his medical in mid september and on October 4th got his ppr so it only took 3 weeks!

Oh thank you patopato. I'll give it a try

we never had the VO email i emailed it to the paris embassy i think they re direct to your VO
they are very good to answer usually next day.

Okay, I e-mailed the Paris Embassy. Hopefully I will get an answer by Tuesday. That would be so nice. Thanks again patopato :)

hey guys, my husband's medical is "lost" and instead of trying to track it down, which could take forever, I think it's best to just redo the medical altogether, even though they haven't asked us to.... Did you have to send the medical form the dr filled out to your visa office? (did you have to send anything else with the form if you did?) or did the dr simply send his portion to the medical office? thanks for your help! =)

Just the Dr. sent the form. I thought the Dr. had lost my husbands medical, because it took so long like 13 or 14 weeks after his medical was done?????? Then it was sent back to his home Visa office, and my husband was e-mailed with his PPR. Are you certain it's lost?

We did the medical end of Jan 2011 and I thought back then they sent the medicals to the Nairobi office who then sent them to the VO (Pretoria). Turns out the Dr sent them directly to Pretoria but then found out it was sent to the wrong address, so it is sitting on someone's desk in Pretoria but nobody seems to know who, and the VO is telling us they never received it! Now I am hearing all African medicals have to be sent to London or Paris cuz there's no regional office in Africa?? Am so confused!

Maybe you can get a tracking number from the doctor's office you had your medical done at?
