how long does it take to get Canadian passport after applying for it

I was wondering how long does it take to get Canadian passport. I applied immediately at the local service Canada location after my citizenship oath. It has been two weeks since i put it in. The receipt given to me states one full month for processing but does it take a full month though ?

I know a passport office will process it in less than two weeks but there wasn't one where I live so dropped it off at the local service canada office.

Application submitted at services Canada, passport are mailed 20 business days later. In other words, 1 month after submitting application plus mailing time.

Processing time is 10 business days, add posting time of up to 4 days and this is your max timeline. This max timeline will increase if you apply not at Service Canada but at their agent. In this case the processing time will be up to 40 calendar days.

It says on my receipt that it will take one month, the reason I posted on here was because I was curious to know if it really took the full one month or did they mail it back to you in 2.5 weeks or 3 weeks.

It very much fluctuates. I applied for passports for my kids at Canada Passport office. For one, I got the passport in 5 calendar days since application, the second 15-17 calendar days. The latter was earlier this year in Calgary. So, I would expect that it would be a month in your case since you applied with agent, but as you see each case is different, probably depends on how busy they are.

Mine took 10 business days...There's a Passport Canada in our city, I applied in person and they called me when it was ready for pick up.
Passport Canada might have given you an estimate on how long it will take to process then add the mailing time.

after the test give it 2 business days and you would be able to apply for Canadian passport
