how long does it take to get approved as a sponsor

we have submitted our application to cic with canada post and tracking number which it was sign for,cic received on the 12 of october 2010, but my husband checked our status on the website with the receipt number we used for payment but there was no sign of saying in process, just a lot of suggest that they will get in contact through letter or email am so worried if they have started working on our aplication, i miss my sweetheart so much.any ideas pleaseeeeeeeeee

They have the processing times on the cic website... I am not on my work computer where I have all the direct links so i cannot provide it for you at this moment but the best thing to do is check the processing times.

I believe the last time i checked it was around 30-40 days!
