We are currently working with Udache immigration firm. It all looks very promising. My wife and I are citizens of Russia, currently residing in USA
on F-1 visa, going through OPT. I have Biology BS and she has Nursing BSN, we speak with out an accent, we are 22 years old. She is licensed in state of Utah, passed NCLEX.
How hard would it be to find a job for her mostly, but also for me in Canada?

She needs to take and pass the licensure exam ( CRNE) first in Canada before she can work as a nurse. Passing the NCLEX do not have a bearing in Canada.

Thanks!
Can she take CRNE in USA, or will we have to do it after the arrival?
CRNE is conducted only in Canada. I guess she can do it on arrival, or, if she has a tourist visa then she can go there and take it.

NCLEX is equivalent to an instant license as PRACTICAL NURSE...
she can work as LPN while preparing for her CRNE...
not bad though! goodluck!

If I may ask, where did you get this info and what province are you referring too?

i am for sec assessment in Alberta...
and i'm done with my norquest LPN short course
my other batchmates (TWP) are NCLEX passers
that is why they are exempted of the exam and will be LPN once they get there in canada
(as per my agency's advice)

Have you tried reading on Alberta Nursing Council's website? Did not mention anything there that once you are an NCLEX passer that you will automatically be registered as LPN. It still depends on the assessment of the board with regards to the compatibility of your curriculum and length of post grad experience. But passing NCLEX does not outright make you eligible to practice as LPN in Canada, or at least in majoirty of the provinces, if it is true what you say about Alberta. Unless you only mean they are eligible to become an LPN, but even so, they will still have to take and pass the licensure exam for LPN.

Hi Gertok! you have Udache as your representative? sometimes I inquired with them but they cost too much. So now I will just submit my papers by my own.

How hard is the nursing exam in canada & the processing to be eligible in taking the exam. Is it the same process as NCLEX?

Thank you & hoping for your reply on this matter. ::)
