How long does it take CPP-O to stamp PR visas?

hey guys I NEED SERIOUS HELP????????????? i received my passports back today with COPR.. but unfortunately i teared off my COPR FROM SIDE WHILE OPENING ENVELOPE... what should i do? shud i land with the torned off paper????? plz help ITS URGENT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Sorry to hear that, if information on form is still intact I don’t think there should be any issue in landing.

1. What is the process for sending Passport through prepaid courier?

2. I am currently at USA and have poised to change my address. Mentioning the address change in cover letter is good enough?

We applied for PNP Ottawa pilot.
It took 2 weeks before we got our passports back with PR Visa. Our landing was done at local CIC office (Ottawa), only one week to get an appointment and all is done now.

Singapore? Wow that's far? Well you can send your passport to Singapore thru UPS or Fedex? Then maybe you can inquire with those two if they service prepaid envelope? If not then you have to wait for longer periods for regular mail to come back, on the second thought? If you still have relatives in Singapore? Maybe?? You can address it to them and so they can personally send your returned passport thru special courrier? How that does sounds?

#2 is YES, i would think, though it's a late update but still, you informed them and just make a nice cover letter explaining such.. Goodluck!!! Keep us posted of your results ok?

Hey guys! We finally landed last week. I landed first while returning from an assignment in the US. Took my wife to the Peace Arch border 2 days later and everything went well, even the name change!!

Let me know how it goes. Seems you are planning for the landing on 1st July weekend. Let me know if the officer makes teh corrections at the Port of entry. I have a similar issue with my wife where the last name has been spelt incorrectly. I sent a mail to CPP Ottawa but it has been 2 weeks and no reply. I am also now planning to land with the error.

There was no issue with getting the name updated at the port of entry, Peace Arch border. My wife just mentioned that her first name and surname is interchanged to the officer and the officer happily updated it in the system and corrected it on the CoPR (scratched off the incorrect name and wrote the correct name with a pen). Now we need to wait and see how it comes on the PR card.

So after landing I went to the drivers license office to get my drivers license with photo id, apparently CoPR even after landing is not considered as "Record of Landing"... Anyway, he also mentioned that they do not issue the drivers license with photo id until we get the PR card because in rare cases some have been denied PR even after landing. This is confusing and scary.... is this true that even after getting the CoPR and landing, there are chances that you will not get the PR card?????

I am about to submit my application to CIO cpp o. My question here is that they have asked for 2 self addressed envelops, does these envelopes have to be postage paid or just plain envelops with my address on it. ??

Go to any Canada post, show the email (print out) to them, they know exactly what that means. Based on my experince, you have to buy two prepaid xpost envelops. one is for you to used to send your passports and things. On the other one write you address at the "TO" line , fold it and put it in the envelop where you put your passports.

Hello all. Just to gives u updates, my tracker is activated last thursday and it means, majority of sent passport to Ottawa takes about 3weeks to processed. Ours was received June 13 and mailed back July 4, 3 weeks to be exact... ;D ;D hopefully we will get it by monday before noon!!! ;D

I am QSW, planning to land in Montreal Trudeau Airport soon. I have a question regarding funds requirements. Will they ask me if I have enough money?

And if yes, Can I present a print out from online banking (i.e. not stamped by the bank). My accounts are in Canadian banks.

Also, do I need to show how much money I have only or to show statement of transactions?

Hey Thanks Sandyboy for the update and glad to know it all worked well with your wife. We also completed our landing on the Canada day long weekend and the officer made the corrections on my wife's last name on the COPR as well with Pen and told that the PR card should have the correct name.

A huge sigh of relief. Waiting for the PR card now..
