How long does it take CPP-O to stamp PR visas?

TRUONGAN, I just sent an email to a local MP regarding my situation. Are you sure they will be able to grant me PR without my Passport and COPR? I sure do want to have the PR status at the local office as well. I am not very scared of mailing anything out or using CanadaPost.

I am very sorry to hear your story. Is it possible for you to contact CIC with the police report and ask them to grant your PR at local CIC office?

Doesn't hurt to ask. Maybe they will have some sympathy. Ask MP for help. At least they will grant you PR without passport and CoPR and you will reapply for a new passport later. I wish you best of luck.

I have taken off from work just to get this landing thing done tomorrow early in the morning.

I fully agree with you. What CPP-O doing is unacceptable. If they are still reviewing our application why the heck they would change our ECAS status to decision made? Why the heck they sent us a request for PP so early, knowing they need more than a month to finalize. There is no logic in the way they are returning the passports. CPP-O is nothing but a bunch of lazy butts sitting over a pile of passports.

I don't think they are reviewing our applications anymore .There is some strange reason that they are holding our PP's. We should file a complaint or do something about it. 490$ for this kind of service is unacceptable .There is no away after PPR request they are still reviewing our applications .

yeah.... I know someone who works for CIC at Vegreville, AB. Maybe it's time to give him a ring and see if he can be of any help. Or my local MP is also some cabinet minister. I will wait till the end of this week and take both the routes to find out what is going on with my passport.

Still waiting, 25 days after passport request and still no news. I have sent them an e-mail today but haven't get a response yet.
Passport request: 22 March and received by Ottawa in 26 March.
