How long does it take CPP-O to stamp PR visas?

Yes, it is that delay. Some people had to wait 8 weeks. Mine passed 3 weeks already. Going to finish the 4th.... :'( I also need my passport back urgent but not much we can do now :'(

8 weeks of wait time! That will be hard for me.
It is so sad that i have TVP upto 2016 and this PR stuff came in between.

u should consider postponing your travel, just to be on the safe side. on the forum i have seen some getting their passport within 3 weeks, and some in 8 weeks.

I am seriously considering postponing my travel.
Did anyone tried to contact CPP-Ottawa with all airtickets and travel proof ?
I feel like doing it tomorrow.
any feedback form the forum on this question?

Hey everyone, my return tracking number was "activated" on December 11. Until now it's still showing "Accepted" but it's still not in transit and not moving....I called Canada Post and they said they never received anything from CIC and to contact CIC instead.

I've emailed CIC for now but it's just so frustrating. I hope they don't lose our passports

Hey everyone, my return tracking number was "activated" on December 11. Until now it's still showing "Accepted" but it's still not in transit and not moving....I called Canada Post and they said they never received anything from CIC and to contact CIC instead.

Return tracker activated on December 11, but it's still not moving until now :/ that's around 36~ days from the day they received it. I really hope Canada Post is just backlogged and we get our passports soon. I don't get why they would say that they don't have our package yet...I mean, how can the tracker be activated if they don't have it

It is possible for big business. They will scan the package before hand it over to canadapost

my return tracker got activated yesterday evening and just a few minutes ago CanadaPost website says 'Item processed at local delivery facility'
Really happy about it.
Now, i am anxious to see, what did they stamp in it.
will update you all, when i get it .

i do not have enough posts to add my time-line with profile, so i give a quick view here:

PR application submitted (along with csq) : 25 oct 2012 ( at Sydney, NS, Canada)
First response from CIC : 14 dec 2012
second response (request for medical exam) : 04 jan 2013
medicals done on : 07 jan 2013
on-line status update : 22 april 2013 ( medical results have been received)
Third response (asking to pay the Right of Permanent Residence Fee) : 18 june 2013
On-line status update : We started processing your application on October 18, 2013.
passport request : 29 November 2013
Passport reached CPP-O : 04 December 2013
return tracker activated : 17 dec 2013 ( just 14 calendar days !)

----------TIPS......( pls keep your communication with CPP-O to the Minimum)................................

- I had requested urgent processing, included with my passport- as described for Urgent processing of permanent resident card ( section: You are in Canada, applied and now need urgent processing)
- I included all the necessary documents. ( airticket, proof of payment,hotel reservation, etc)
- On the Xpresspost envelop i pasted two bright stickers stating : urgent process/ travel documents included.
- Once my passport reached CPP- O, I send an e-mail to them, with all the same documents for urgent processing request. ( no response, just the same auto-response)
- After 10 days, i just send all the same documents via Fax
it seems, someone at CPP-O listened to all my tears !
now, i am waiting to see, what did they stamp in my passport!

Congrats timepasses, you're really lucky that someone listened to you! My tracker was updated again today, 'Item processed at local delivery facility' . After 6 days of being activated! And to think I just talked to Canada Post yesterday and they said they don't have it :/

Landed yesterday at Carway border AB.
The office was not busy but still it took me almost 2 hrs before it gets done.
Now need to wait for my PR card to mailed.

Awesome, I just got mine finally delivered to my husband's office today, 4 business days after being activated!!! Will hopefully do the landing this weekend.

Open a e- service ticket on canada post website..it may help !
