Mine was sent Feb 8th and I recieved my COPR today; So I just have to cross the border to get my stamp

In my case, I am already in canada, CPP-Ott ask me to send a copy of passport.
Do you know how things will work in my case?
Will they just mail me the PR Visa?
Please share your opinion!

So, they received your passport/information on the 8th and you got your COPR and passport back today?

Hi QC_Student_PEO,

Most of us here are in Canada (I am in Montreal). But we sent original passport (NOT a copy).
Here is what I have:

Passport(s)

We require a VALID passport for you and for each accompanying family member. Passports for you and all accompanying family members must be submitted together. There must be at least one blank visa page in each passport. If there are children included in your passport there must be blank visa pages for them as well.

Are u the same ?

Thanks

I can't speak for QC_Student_PEO, but maybe (s)he is the same as me, my letter had the following:

You are exempted from obtaining a visa to visit Canada under Regulation 190 of the Immigration and
Refugee Protection Act; therefore you do not need to submit original passports to finalize your
application.

I sent on Feb 8th, they asked for a PDF receipt again on 19th because they cannot open the one i sent before. Now I am waiting.....

Acutally they asked me for 2 photos whose specification is outlined in the link below.

http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/applications/guides/5445ETOC.asp#appendixB

This link is for PR card application instruction.
I am only assuming, but I thnk they are trying to give the PR card directly for the inland applicants. But again, I am just guessing.
According to CIC website, the processing time for PR card is 35 calender days. I hope to get my card a month from now. We will see!

Thanks everyone!

Same for me (photos, bio data, copy of passport pages). It would be awesome if that's what they were for. I was assuming the COPR had a photo on it but I really have no idea. I was hoping to get this all done this month, but if that's the case it won't be till some time in March.

Did you mail them the receipt with your initial package as well or did you just email it to Cost Recovery? Because I believe they couldn't open my PDF file either since I haven't received confirmation of reception

Hi all,
One more person interested to know the timeliness.
Today I have posted my passports along with rprf fees to cpp-o.
