How long does it take CPP-O to stamp PR visas?

So Guys,

Yesterday I checked my Xpress return envelop of Canada Post with my passport back sticked with Immigrant Visa valid upto May,2014 I took exactly 28 days to get back my passport with CPR, they put a stamp on my Work Permit which was still valid upto May, 2014 inscribed that "Cancelled without prejudice", who cares ehh?

Now I've scheduled my journey to US border at this Saturday to finalize my landing and have some chill time over Niagara falls ;D

I'll keep you posted next week regarding my landing experience.

Stay calm and keep praying for eachother who're still struck in the processing, I know this is long tiring wait but eventually you'll made your day, don't panic or frustrate, your turn will come soon.

nadeem55, congratulations!!! I noticed you said that they put a cancellation stamp on your work permit? So you sent your work permit within the package as well (was it requested?)?

I asked because I sent along my study permit as well (even though it wasn't requested), and I was worried that they would take it (or lose it), and I would have trouble while landing (since they will definitely ask what my current status is). Glad to know it would be fine.

Anyway, just one last question, if you don't mind, what time did your tracker get activated? Thanks in advance, and happy landing

I see that for those who sent their passport from US with a return fedex or UPS envelope, CPP ottawa is not using them to send back the passports. CPP seems to be using regular mail to post the passports to the USA. If this is the case, what is the time taken for my passports to reach USA from Canada? 1 week? I am also worried about not being able to track my passport on its way back

I am at 4 weeks till today. I have sent two emails and they never reply back.

I have a feeling that it is slow because of my visa on the passport is expired in 2011. I got my work permit which is good till 2014 but I did not apply for a new visa. Anyone knows if CPP-O will check your application for work permit copy? I did not include one in the envelope which I sent in April

Mine is in 10th week.

You don't need to have a valid visa as long as you have a valid status in Canada. You have a valid work permit which makes you a legal resident and that's enough (some may say more than enough )
