How long does it take? Application Approved to Recieving COPR in mail

Hi there,

My application got approved yesterday which is great news, however I missed a friend's wedding cause it didn't come in time. My passport is with them currently.

Wondering how long it takes for them to send all of my docs back after a decision has been made?

I reside in Canada and have sent an Xpressport return envelope, which takes a day to get here.

Need this info to plan out my travel for work!

As per current trend, they are taking around 4 weeks to stamp and send the passports back.

Could you please confirm whether this is after they receive the passports in the mail or after they approve applications?

Spoke to CIC agent last week and they said its 10 business days for the PP to be stamped and returned back from CPC Ottawa. They said the wait times are averaging around 10-12 business days but not more.

My passports have reached Ottawa on 28-Aug and I still have not heard anything back. Usually when they stamp visa on our passports, our application status in CIC profile gets updated to "Approved". My application hasn't got updated yet. So I think the CIC agent has provided too much optimistic estimate.

4 weeks after they have received the passports through mail. Once visa is stamped, it should not take much time as the mail is ExpressPost

Just received it today! The timing was exactly accurate. They received my passport on Aug 10. Thanks for the help!

So for you, your application in CIC profile got updated (approved) on 31-Aug. It took 8 days after that to get your passports back

I got approved on sep 1st, no tracking activation yet (inland)
one case approved aug 25th, the passport was sent yesterday (inland)
other case approved sept 1st, the passport was sent today (inland)
according to this page 2-5 days

Application approved: August 31st
Still no signs of passport being returned.
My status expired on September 1st. cannot work legally anymore.
Very frustating. Has called CIC many times now.

I called more than 5 times, then I waited 35 min
my passport was sent this morning

Dude - at least you got your application approved, my passport was received on 25th Aug and no updates since then.

As per my pp timeline, it should take another month for your application to be approved and a few weeks after that for CIC to return your passport.

but the agent mentioned that it was in the printing queue and should be sent out shortly within the timeframe of 2 weeks.. this is frustrating guys !!!
