Hey guys,

I was wondering that how long it takes in light of the current trends for a request of proposal to be received after medical has been cleared.

It's been more than 3 and half months since my medical was accepted and since then portal shows no update.... it says BGC is not required and medical is passed..... my eligibility criteria is in process.... so far nothing has been required.....

How much more time you think can it take for me to get final decision or PPR?

You can't and shouldn't have any expectations based on the myCIC account statuses. Even if we could rely on the statuses, there are too many things that could happen to make an accurate guess as to how much longer your file could take. You could get PPR tomorrow, or you could get it a week from now, or you could get it a month from now (depending on how many applications are ahead of yours and how many human resources are available to process the applications, at whichever Centre or Visa Office your file is being processed), or your file could be "put down" by some Immigration Officer and "left to gather dust" for months more (as some unfortunate persons have reported after reviewing their GCMS notes), or you could get selected for additional security screening and have your application processing extended by a further 4 - 12 months.

There's no use speculating. I know the wait is hard, but just breathe and try to find other things to occupy your thoughts and time until one day you get the Golden Email (but check your email and your myCIC account once a day, just in case, as the deliver of the PPR notices is varied and flawed - emails going to spam, people getting the message in their myCIC account but no email to notify them about it, etc.)

Aug 2, 2017 - Submitted my application and received AoR
Week of Aug 6th. 2017 - Medical passed

I did not notice IP1 stage or NA stage like many have talked about.

Week of Sept 3rd. 2017 - Notice a change in background status to "We are processing your background check. We will send you a message if we need more information."
Sept 25, 2017 - Updated my new address
Oct 2, 2017 - Got email from CIC saying my request has been forwarded to the responsible office
Oct 13, 2017 - Got the "ready for visa" email

It took my roughly 2.5 months since my submission of application.

You can't and shouldn't have any expectations based on the myCIC account statuses. Even if we could rely on the statuses, there are too many things that could happen in 'IP2' to make an accurate guess as to how much longer your file could take. It could change, and it might not. There are some people who never see any status changes and suddenly they get a PPR email in their inbox one day. Conversely, there are others who wait for months before their application statuses finally change. Unfortunately, IRCC is not reliable and consistent about updating statuses, so you just can never tell.

Hello, how does one know if one passed the medical exam?
