Dear Sir / Madam

I have two enquiries,

1. how long can I stay out of Canada after landing so that I wont fail fulfilling the PR requirement.

2. I am currently out of Canada after landing, and my wife is now pregnant in our home city, what steps do we need to do if we decided to give birth in our home country before we do the final moving to Canada ? (landed in APR 2016)

Thank you very much

Jason

1. Three years. However if you say out the full three years, then once you return to Canada - you will need to remain in Canada for two straight years without leaving in order to renew your PR card.
2. Assuming both you and your wife have PR, you can only apply to sponsor your child if one of you is living in Canada. Once the child is born, you will need to apply for a TRV to bring your child with you to Canada and then apply for PR. If the TRV is refused then you can try applying for a TRP. If the TRP is also refused, then one of you will need to move back to Canada first to submit the sponsorship application for your child and remain there while the application is processed.

Thank you for your reply!!

further to the question, could u kindly state the major difference between TRV and TRP.

Is there a high possibility that the Immigration Dept usually refuse TRV or TRP under my circumstance ?

On the other hand, how long do you estimate if the we submit the PR application for the new born within Canada (assuming we successfully got the TRV) ?

THANK YOU VERY MUCH

You can settle by March 2019 permanently .

I firmly believe that you must try your best to have baby in Canada
