Hi all,

I will be re-locating to Canada in June. I am Canadian and my husband has received his PR. Once we land, how long does the processing take at the airport? We will be travelling with a baby and a cat so I would like to be prepared as much as possible. Any information will help! Thanks in advance.

1 Depends on how many people are "landing" at the same time, so you should count on 2/3 hours,

Please elaborate, do you and all your family member have all the documents you need to enter Canada or you are doing landing process at the airport ?

I'm Canadian as well as my daughter. My husband has received his letter of confirmation for PR so we have all of the necessary documents.

Short answer is that it's unpredictable since it depends how busy things are at the border that day. The process itself is fast - it just depends how many others are waiting. Plan for a couple of hours and hope it takes far less. It's possible you could be through in 15 minutes.

For your daughter and you it won't be long as you both have your status.
For your husband it probably won't be long, depends on how busy immigration officer is.
like if you land at Toronto or any major cities, it will gonna take longer in compare to smaller city.
Generally it won't take anything more than an hour.
