How long after RPRF Request do they request your Passport?

They don't, you have to send emails to CIC to check if they have received your documents.

i sent them an email yesterday to request the reception of my documents..but no reply yet :-[

email response timeline is 2-3 months . so dont expect immediate response.

A little progress for me....my ecas status has now changed to "In Progress" and "We started processing your application on April 22nd" So I guess that means someone has at least picked up my file right? Anyone heard of how long after this you would get a PPR?

Hi Guys and Gals,

I am in the same situation. I was asked to pay the RPRF and also submit new PCCs on the 11th of April. I paid the RPRF the next day and sent the PCCs last week.

I was wondering if anyone had any anything from CPP-O yet.

Hello there,
I also got the request for RPRF yesterday, and I paid that online. I dont see passport request in the RPRF letter (although some people have it) but there is a note "stating your passport shuold not be expiring in the next 6 months." but they did not request for passport.

I have two questions, if somebody can reply:
1. If passport is not requested in RPRF, should I send it anyhow because it is stating a note about passport.
2. How much time it take to request for passport after RPRF (medical, fingerprinting all done).

It says that your passport should not be expired or expiring in next 6 months.

Hey Terki,

I think you have a similiar situation to mine in that your VO is NDVO and the file is being processed in CPP-O. I got the RPRF on the 11th of April and send the PCCs that they requested last week. What would be the next step? Would they transfer the file to NDVO for finalization and will they inform us about it?

Dear Skumar,

on ur PR File, if you had requested NDVO - CIO-Sydney must have transferred your file to NDVO initially right after your got File # from CIO
Instances where a certain VO is overwhelmed with files then CIO decides to shoot the files to VO's where work is minimum - However NDVO is happily receiving all files form sydney, I havent heard of cases where files being sent to CPP-O . If u got RPRF and Medical rqst from CPP-O - NDVO won't step in, all is taken care in Ottawa. Now those having medial line on ecas and waiting on ppr - timeline varies between 4-12 months due to surplus files at CPP-O. Most of which are being transferred to Mexico VO.

I can only do so much to help you with my experience. I suggest u seek GCMS Notes to know ur file status

To my understanding : Right after Medical line or sometimes during Medical itself - the below shall start :

Security / Criminality Checks - done through CSIS - They seek inputs from FOSS (type in Foss as key work in forum to know wt it is, I have written before) + Interpol & border services , etc - largely time consuming process - extensive travel pushes your file much longer than u anctipate.

with clean Record - 30-90 days for PPR (Average 25 days)
with Travel History - 120 days maximum (average 55 days)

so wait (JASKIRAT pl also note this )
