Hi All,
So today i did all the normal medical stuff and send PP RPRF Plus a prepaid envelope. How long will i wait to receive my PP back. they say medicals have to be send to OTTAWA and then fowarded to Nairobi Kenya.
How long does Medicals usually takes to be checked by Ottawa. Should i start celebrating??

BOBINE,
U r just funny. six months is a little too much. there is no way it can go that far. some of my friends have even told me it could be next months or Dec 31 at the latest. lets c what happens. as per celebrating, u r right that one can wait till the PP is back. but thanks though. happy thanksgiving.

My buddy Sridas,
I am so glad to see u again contributing in this forum. man you are great. so anyway, things have changed rapidly for me the last few weeks. as you know i was disussing with you the six month stagnation of the application they mention in that AOR letter. so they issued me the letter on august 4th and after few weeks i noticed something changed in my e-cas like the full address appeared in full. it wasn't before. then after another week or so, they send me an email telling me i will be advised soon on my next step. that was on sep 16th. then on the 29th Sep, i received my Medical forms, request for the RPRF, PP and a prepaid envelope to return the PP. i was like this was quick. Okay what happen with the six month period? oh well, good for me. i did medicals on October 6th. the very same day i send the PP,RPRF, and the prepaid envelope to them. lets c what happen. its a bet. some of my friends told it will only take up to the end of the next month. some say before x-mass. me i predicted DEC 15th. maybe i could be on my way to Nairobi for X-mass. whats your opinion on this as a guess?? HAPPY THANKS GIVING FROM CALGARY ALBERTA.

Rhino2008,

It sounds like things are going great for you as far it goes to the AINP process. I thought you were in the US on H1B and you applied through AINP US Visa Category and went home when you lost your job or something like that.

Or were you always in Alberta? If you were always in Alberta (during this whole process) I am assuming that you have a good job, so you were able to go through AINP route. How is the job situation in Calgary or in Alberta? How hard is it to find a professional level job? What about finding a minimum paying job to survive for a while and how much is the minimum pay in AB? Thanks for your time.

Hi Nix,
I have been in Alberta all through my AINP process and to be honest, its the easiest way to get your PR provided you have a job. i dont really have a great jpb but good enough to be nominated by my boss. i work at a Hotel as a Night Auditor/Night Manager. coz of my hard work , my boss nominated me and things just fell into its place. finding a Proffessional job in Calgary could be a bit challenging. check the OIl and Gas industry if they have some stuff.
Good luck.
