How long after AIP+fingerprints request?

Hi everybody, here is my timeline

AOR 2013/10/03
FN 2013/10/26
AIP 2015/03/09
full AIP 2015/03/09
Medical exam sent w/ app
Request for fingerprints on 2015/03/09

I know the CIC website says there's another 8-month wait after Stage 1(AIP of spousor+PA), but I'm just wondering if there's anyone who has been in this situation and is willing to share his experience with me. I really DON'T trust the CIC website.

I'm also thinking if I should take another medical exam and send it along with my fingerprinting result cuz I've seen people being requested to redo their medical exam after submitting their police certificate which just drags the processing time even longer.

I appreciate any thoughts or advice on this topic. And good luck to everyone else who is still waiting.

We are in similar situation and my guess is that you'll have to re-do the medical examination. We submitted medical exam results along with the application back in Oct 2013 (around the same time as you).

We are now required to submit a new medical examination because it was conducted more than 12 months ago.

In the email from CIC, they mentioned about some required medical forms and instructions but we didn't receive them... any idea where to get those?

I'm not sure either but if it's IMM1017 that you received it's used for all immigration applications and so not specifically designed for sponsorship application. There's a form attached to IMM1017 and I guess that's what they are referring to.
