I have a Master's degree in Environmental Toxicology from the US. I'm still resident in the US.I recently applied to Buffalo office for the PR through the skilled worker program. I want to know about the Environmental Sciences/Engineering job market in Alberta or elsewhere in canada. How can i get a job offer to speed up my PR?. PMM or Leon or other members that know about this topic please respond.

Try out this here job search: http://www.jobbank.gc.ca/Intro_en.aspx If you can't get a job offer out of it, at least it will give you an idea where you have the best options.

You have good opportunities in laboratory works, Health Canada, Environmental monitoring programs, environmental consulting and in Provincial environmental jobs. Though there is a huge demand in environmental jobs, as an ousider and with a degree other than Canadian degre it is difficult to get the first job. However, there is no harm to try. In my opinion, try to start with an entry level position. And look for other opportunities in future.

Thank you.

-Hero member Leon has provided a link in his message above. Alternatively you can search provincial websites, www.eco.ca (open and account and post your resume here), open account at monster.ca, google search Canadian laboratories (considering your background in env.toxicology) and directly contact the human resources personnel. And for recruitment agencies, search the website (you may use google). However, be careful about their authenticity first. Avoid the agencies which ask for money before confirming a job. Sometimes it is normal that these agencies will charge you but this is okay if they charge you after confirming your job and you at best after you receive your 1st salary.
I wish you all the best.

In addition to jobbank and monster.ca there are also http://www.eluta.ca/ and http://www.workopolis.com/
You can also google for companies or jobs that might be listed on other sites or even on company websites.
