Is it sent through myCIC, or directly to the applicant's email address?

Usually, they will send PPR letter through personal ( applicant )email. :)

I believe that depend on "Preferred Correspondence Channel" mentioned in your GCMS notes. It could be MyCIC or Auto Email.

For me, PPR came as message from MyCIC account, same as AOR and requests.

You will just be notified about a new message in MyCIC, just like with other updates.

Thank you very much for this helpful information

Thanks for the replies so far.

When the PPR note is received, is there any change in BG status in the EE application?

I've seen varying situations by members here. Some get the PPR message in their MyCIC account without any change in BG status. Others got BG in progress a few hours (as in the case of CPC-Ottawa) or a few days before PPR.

Your mycic status (EE application) will closed and completed,
BG status will changes to completed as well.

That happens only once you get COPR

In my case, status didnt change until about a week after I sent my passport and photos for COPR, so I assume they updated my status while issuing COPR.

Seems slightly different for everybody.

Message through CIC acount is more normal and dependable, but most applications received emails?

CIC's work styles are really capricious.

wow, you landed on the last day

FYI, my ppr came via email, even though the preferred mode of communication is MyCIC. There is no update of it in MyCIC. So, make sure that CIC has your correct email address.

PPR is always thru email , make sure to check ur spam often. there wont be any change on MYCIC.the status of eligibilty would still stay as "in progress" once you get ur passport and COPR back , all the statuses would change and the application will then be closed.

^ thanks. That's exactly what i wanted to know when I created this thread. Glad that it is clear now for everyone.
