Hello,
I have researched this everywhere and I am unable to find this information anywhere on the SINP or the IRCC site. My query is regarding the calculation of an overall CLB score. At the time of filling the EOI, we are asked an overall CLB score, however, over the internet one can only find conversions of separate (module-based) scores.
Now if someone has varying degrees of scores in IELTS then how will the overall CLB score be calculated? For example, if one has 3.5 in reading, 5.5 in listening, 5.5 in writing and 6.0 in speaking, it will mean CLB correspondents of 4, 6, 6, and 7. Now, to get the overall CLB level do we:
#1: Take out an average of the CLB scores ?
OR
#2: Take out the average of the IELTS scores and then covert it to CLB ?
OR
#3: Do we just convert the overall IELTS band to CLB ?
The resulting score will be different depending on the method used. Therefore, please guide me in this matter.
Eagerly waiting for reply,
Thank you.
