Peli... thanks for the clarification. I was basically going by the processing times they post on the CIC website. Manila says 9 months there. I am happy that it takes significantly lesser than what they post on their website.

yes you are right. it says 9 months for Manila VO... but very thankfully, it doesn't often reach that mark... so we're very happy about that =)

awww,so sorry,no idea coz I haven't actually started looking for a flight for my hubby yet.. I am also happy to report that my husband received his PPR today, May 16 Manila time. PPR letter was dated May 10 and accdng to the letter they received our package May 8. ;D ;D ;D ;D

Hi everyone! I(sponsor) arrived in Calgary last Friday (this time for good) . I have paid the fees today at Bank of Montreal using IMM 5401,

the top part (my copy)

and the part I will send to CIC

So tomorrow I'm off to UPS to send the application =)

how much did UPS charge you?

Wala pa ako 1 year dito , last sept lang ako dumating then went back last Jan para maayos kasal , then nagpakasal kami Nong march 10 . Bumalik ako dito last march 21 . May work kaya Lang part time Lang. Hay , nakakastress po. Ang tanong Ko po , ok Lang po ba Kung part time Lang po ako ? And may minimum amount po ba sa bank na nirerequire? Thanks po sa inyo. Hi, if it's just your husband you are sponsoring and walang anak na kasama then there's no financial requirements. Just as long as you have a job that should be fine. You just need to secure a certificate of employment from your employer stating how much you earn, how much time in a week you are working and how long you have been working. I believe si Peli nga initially wala siyang work when they applied, she just sent her COE once na nagkaroon na siya ng work. I hope this helps.

Hello there, for my case when I submitted the application, I did not have a job yet. I arrived in Canada January 20 and submitted the application January 24. There is no minimum income required if you are only sponsoring your spouse. It's a different case if you have children/ dependents . There is also no minimum amount of money you have in the bank.. You just have to explain how you can support yourself and your spouse when he/she arrives. For me, I sent letters from my family stating they are willing to help me out for the meantime while looking for work, I sent proof that I was looking for work , etc. Its good for you that you have a part time job, be sure to include a certificate / letter from your employer, and maybe make a letter that you are currently seeking a full time job, if you are.

thanks koala, yes u r right, nagsend ako ng COE nung nagkaron ako work pero sinoli din nila, coz they didnt have record of our application yet that time.. haha
