I am writing this to assist anyone else who is facing the same issues as i did. Before applying for the visa i had searched alot and couldn't find any concrete help about similar cases as me. so here goes---
1 - SPP visa
SPP visa is the visa granted to study in Canada. as everyone knows, it a great way for cultural exposure and possibly migrating later on. There are approx 40 SPP colleges and we can assume an intake of roughly 50-60 people out of that an average 400 applications sent. We see that on an average 15,000 people apply for these visas and total selected each year is 2000. There are other ways to get student visa by non-SPP but one hears that student work permit is not given and its difficult to get PR etc.
Hence the demand and popularity of these SPP visas.
2 - How i got my SPP visa and my profile
Here is my profile-
Degree - BDS (Bachelor of Dental Surgery)
Percentage - 54%
Backlogs - 6
So how did i get the visa with relatively un-mentionable academics ?
a - I made my own honest but formal statement of purpose which showed my strong points like some volunteer work and an impressive project i had done. I in next page included two photographs of the project in next page. Everything was honest and proper.
b - I got IELTS band of 8.0 .......its well known that they look for people with minimum band 7...no matter what they say. i have also seen people with band 7.5 get rejected.
c - I applied to a course relevant to my field only...i applied to dental hygienist course being a dentist.

Also be completely honest and fair and no fake stuff or such letters. Good luck.
