Hi all,
is the fee for the medical exam everywhere the same? Is it also the same for family class as well for other immigration classes? My hubby paid 250 Euro, is that what you guys paid as well? What about the procedure at the exam? THe same for medical class as for others?

$210 for me. spousal/outland
exam is the same for spousal as it is for visitors. just a quick check by the dr, then blood work and xrays.

It varies between different countries and doctors. Call round a few.
I paid $200 in toronto, but I think it can cost more like $400 in some places. In England I was quoted around 200 pounds (approx $300).

Fees vary from country to country, but they are established following certain guidelines from RMOs (Regional Medical Offices).

This from the DMP's Handbook: "DMPs should charge reasonable fees based on discussions with the medical officer in the relevant RMO. The agreed fees would be the maximum the DMP is entitled to charge for the standard medical examination and for administrative handling. Fees will reflect local conditions and service charges. As a consequence, the fees for Canadian IMEs will vary by country. Within some countries, fees for the IME may vary by geographic location, depending on the situation."

My medicals cost $75.50 plus $60 shipping costs in Guatemala, but that's a substantial amount for the cost of living in these countries, considering the average monthly wage is US $250!!!

We paid 250 EUR too, in Germany. I think it might be the same all over Europe.

@sidkrose,

did you get from your doctor section A document that you attached to the application? My husband´s doctor apparently didn´t know about this form and didn´t give him any, I still have to get that from him.

My husband paid around $160 or $170 in Toronto.

My husband in toronto paid around $180 including all the tests, we applied outland and his medicals are going to expire august 10 2011 and my husband is going to probally have to redo them, my friend here in costa rica did went with her husband and paid $250 canadian more then what we paid in toronto canada :(

I paid in chicago - $320 for the medical and another $90 for the xray.

It was 410 for me in Chapel Hill NC

Yeah it definitely differs from country, state, doctor, etc.
If I went outland it would have costs me the same as Merik was charged in Chapel Hill. I would have needed to go there too.
I had the medical done here in Newfoundland though for $360. There were only two doctors in my area to do it and they both charged the same amount. Wish I could have been one of those that got it for way cheaper. ::)

I haven't gotten my medicals, but the doc in Chapel Hill quoted me the same price Merik had to pay. When I heard that and started reading these forums and realised getting them done in Canada was substantially cheaper, I decided I'd definitely get them done in Canada if I could (and now I can since I live here). So I'd say if you can, try to get them done in Canada and preferrably in a larger city, seems they are cheaper there.

So Philippines is the cheapest? 100 dolllars but I spent way more than that to travel to a DMP and spent a night since Medical is for two days.... ( First day -- laboratories & Xray , 2nd day--- physical examination and interview by doctor)
