Like many of you, I've been reading through old threads trying to get a sense of how long it can take for my spouse's application to be processed. But I'm seeing a huge variation in waiting times for cases, with even relatively simple cases dragging on, while others receive PPR just weeks after file transfer. Are applications processed in order of arrival, on a first come first serve basis? Or do they just arbitrarily pick applications to process, or perhaps have some other prioritizing system? When it says "in process" on ECAS, does that mean they're actually working on it, or that we're in a queue?
I feel like our case is about as simple and legit as it gets, not to mention we overdid it with evidence and support letters etc, and I'm just imagining all these different scenarios taking place at the VO now (Nairobi for us). I was hopeful seeing cases in Nairobi threads that were processed in 4-6 months. Even though our application was only transferred a little over two weeks ago, I just can't wait for PPR and the check status online daily!
