Yes. Make sure you can show you have the additional funds needed to support yourself for those two months since you can't start working until your classes officially start. Can i travel 2 months before my classes start date?
Approximately how much money i need to show them?Yes. Make sure you can show you have the additional funds needed to support yourself for those two months since you can't start working until your classes officially start.
You can come anytime you want.......I came in to Canada 5 months before my class starts and i was not asked for any proof of financial support.Approximately how much money i need to show them?
This might well be true but not necessarily any guarantee that someone will not be asked the question as just depends on the officer at the time. You can come anytime you want.......I came in to Canada 5 months before my class starts and i was not asked for any proof of financial support.
So what should i do? Is 1.2k is enough at the time? This might well be true but not necessarily any guarantee that someone will not be asked the question as just depends on the officer at the time.
Ultimately all they want to assess is whether someone is likely to try and work illegally before classes start and maybe you were lucky arriving 5 months before and not being asked how you planned to support yourself..
As for how much money there is no specific amount but it would be irresponsible of an individual to not do their homework on setup and living costs regardless of whether CBSA may or may not ask the question.

Is that gic is not enough as per financial support? You can come anytime you want.......I came in to Canada 5 months before my class starts and i was not asked for any proof of financial support.
No - it's not enough. The GIC is meant to cover the period of time you are studying. If you come early, you need additional funds to support yourself. It's possible the CBSA officer may not request proof of additional funds when you enter Canada early. However it's also possible he/she might - so you need to be prepared to demonstrate that you have the additional funds. Is tha

the proof of fund you submitted during your application covers it. nobody will ask you for any proof of financial support at port of entry beside they know there is no how you will come to canada without coming with money that will sustain you for the mean time........i came in to canada early this year 5 months before my class started,,,,the only thing that was asked was my passportHow much

We've had a few people on this forum asked to demonstrate proof of financial support at the POE. So it does happen - it just didn't happen to you. We've also seen at least one case where someone was turned away at the border and forced to return home because the CBSA officer felt they were coming too early and were concerned they had plans to begin work. This person had to return home and then come back to Canada closer to the start of their studies.the proof of fund you submitted during your application covers it. nobody will ask you for any proof of financial support at port of entry beside they know there is no how you will come to canada without coming with money that will sustain you for the mean time........i came in to canada early this year 5 months before my class started,,,,the only thing that was asked was my passport
