no.. even the basic job requirements are also needed to be met... ur degree and work exp together form the NOC code. So does your degree match NOC code as well

Job description and requirements are two different things when qualifying for PR. For your PR application you need to prove your job responsibilities match the job duties as per the noc code. If it does your work exp will be considered. The job requirements on the CiC Noc code page is the basic requirements as per the labour laws which u (may) need to fulfil to get a job in Canada under that noc. So to your question yes your work exp will be considered if it matches the NOC description even if u don't have the degree. Hope this helps.

Please see this link
https://www.canada.ca/en/immigration-refugees-citizenship/corporate/publications-manuals/operational-bulletins-manuals/permanent-residence/economic-classes/federal-skilled-workers/assessing-applications-against-minimum-requirements.html

Minimum work experience requirement
The applicant must have accumulated at least one year of continuous full-time (or the equivalent in part-time) paid work experience in the occupation identified in their application for permanent residence as their primary occupation. In calculating this period of work experience, the occupation must be listed in skill type 0 (Managerial occupations), skill level A (Professional occupations) or skill level B (Technical occupations and skilled trades) of the National Occupational Classification (NOC) 2016 [R75(2)(a)].

The applicant’s skilled work experience must also

  • have occurred within the ten years preceding the date of their application for permanent residence; and
  • not be in an occupation that has been designated as a restricted occupation.
Note: At the time of publication, no occupations were designated as restricted.

In addition, during that period of employment, the applicant must have

  • performed the actions described in the lead statement for the occupation as set out in the occupational description of the NOC [R75(2)(b)]; and
  • performed a substantial number of the main duties, including all of the essential duties, of the occupation as set out in the occupational description of the NOC [R75(2)(c)].
Note: The applicant does not need to demonstrate that they meet the “employment requirements” listed in the NOC occupational description.

dude u wanna try that try it... but u never know the mindset of IRCC officer.. if he sticks to NOC u will be in shit... Better just consult an immigration lawyer ,.... This is an important aspect of ur application and get opinion of a Real immigration guy... let me tag someone here @mr.preetsingh he is immigration consultant .. he can shed more light on this.

Tagging me and showing will not help antything... there are lot of things written on their website and it is our interpretation what it means...but officer go with different mindset.. some are open to little deviation and some go exactly by the book..

That’s true that officer can have a mindset that person whose degree is not relevant to his experience may not be able to economically establish himself/herself in Canada and reject application by citing this reason which means he is contradicting with what’s written on the website and that’s when IRCC decision can be taken to court. However, it’s not right to tell OP that he is not eligible when you don’t know what’s written on IRCC website unless u have experienced that yourself or a friend of yours went thru this

Firstly don't "dude" someone you don't know. That's plain rude. You gave your opinion on the OPs question, we gave ours. @jaffaral wasn't showing off, he was merely evidencing his earlier statement with facts from the CiC website unlike you who is going around the forum making assumptions and incorrect statements. If you are not open to getting responses and having a healthy conversation maybe this forum isn't for you. Using language and statements like 'if he sticks to NOC u will be in shit' is very presumptuous of you.

its not presumptuous.. my friend got rejected on basis if job duties itself.. and mine was vaguely.. matching NOC.. you know..and you cannot tsklr dude.. then please do not come to a western country.. then people might call u bro or dude and u will be like OMG ... I have lived in US long enough so cannot help it... So I do not know what " dude:" means for ya.. here is just like " bro".. so get over that... and yes they will match your degree requirements to NOC code you are putting there.. OP is eligible for PR .. but does his /herdegree and Job goes with NOC thats second.. and I think OP knows he is eligible for PR.. he/ she is doubtful about NOC... that he/she has done teaching for 3 years and more... but degree does not go along NOC requirements

Let’s hope u can show the rejection letter of your friend. If not, then I will advise OP to go what’s written on the website rather than listening to what people are saying

Aah you have lived in the US long enough? That pretty much explains your aggressive brash and rude stance. In that case you're forgiven. :)

Again very american-like of you assuming I have never been to the west and telling me 'do not come to a western country'. Thank you very much for your advise.
