Should I ask my employer to apply for me?
You can ask. An employer pays $1k. Then the employer fills out the paperwork to prove that they could not hire a Canadian or PR. So they need to post the job for at least a month on several job sites. They have to provide financial and market information too. Many employers have their HR or lawyer complete the paperwork.
So you don’t need a LMIA. You can ask your employer if they are willing to go through the process and pay for the process. If you are working remotely for them now, then they need to start by posting your job within Canada.My NOC is software engineer. What I meant by you “don’t need a LMIA” is that you can apply (if eligible) for Express Entry - FSW without one. What is your CRS score with ECAs and IELTS? What province is the company in?

That is very low. Express Entry is not an option. OINP (Ontario) with job offer may be an option if your employer is willing to go through the process. Like the LMIA, they have to show they can’t hire anyone in Canada, and you are urgently needed to work in Ontario (and can’t work remotely). Your job offer must include a salary that is the median or more for Ontario. Then you need to calculate your score and see if you have enough points.Let’s say my CRS is around 350. How can I increase it? Is PNP the only option?
