Should I ask my employer to apply for me?
So you don’t need a LMIA. You can ask your employer if they are willing to go through the process and pay for the process. If you are working remotely for them now, then they need to start by posting your job within Canada. My NOC is software engineer. I want to immigrate to Canada through the express entry with a federal skilled worker visa.
A job offer doesn’t give you 50 points. Your employer needs to apply for a LMIA first. So they need to post the job on Canadian job sites, pay $1k and fill out all the paperwork. They need to prove they could not hire anyone with the average salary or more for a software engineer. So I ask them for a job offer in Canada? If they agree to do so, then do I obtain the ‘arranged job offer in Canada’ points?
That is very low. Express Entry is not an option. OINP (Ontario) with job offer may be an option if your employer is willing to go through the process. Like the LMIA, they have to show they can’t hire anyone in Canada, and you are urgently needed to work in Ontario (and can’t work remotely). Your job offer must include a salary that is the median or more for Ontario. Then you need to calculate your score and see if you have enough points.Let’s say my CRS is around 350. How can I increase it? Is PNP the only option?
