Hi,

I first immigrated as a skilled worker in 2010, I did all the paperwork in 2008 (wow time flies) so it has been a LONG time since I have communicated with CIC.

I just sent my citizenship documents to Sydney, NS and I am wondering if they now send updates by email, like AOR and test invite? Or if they still use snail mail? I'm heading to Europe now for a couple of months, so email would be much better!

<yes, I know to let them know I am leaving the country for longer than 2 weeks>

Thanks!

If you provided your email in your application you will receive your AOR via email.

The test invitation will be sent via regular mail but it should show on your eCas that it was mailed so you should be fine while in Europe to check your status. Happy travels :)

Just make sure you have someone checking your mail box for the letter as sometimes IRCC will not update on eCas.....

AOR/Document Request/Test Invite/Oath Invite/ can be via email or regular mail. Keep checking your email and physical mail. Sometimes e-cas does not update properly so don't fully rely on e-cas
