So I completed and submitted my express entry profile as a single person. It was submitted and accepted - no problem. I just got married and wanted to update my profile and change it to married. Only to find out the system does not allow you to update that piece of information. To my knowledge and repeated warning in the instructions you are to keep that info updated at all times or run the risk of being rejected and or banned. I contact CIC to ask what should I do to change it? Three separate time the told me the question was too technical and to fill out an eform with my question. So I did that. The e-form response was a generic computer generated answer on how to access your profile and change info. But you cannot change you marital status!!! Like I said the system won't allow you. How do I inform them that I am now married? How do I change it in my profile? How the heck do I change this? It is a normal occorance , No?? Anyone run into this problem and have a solution let me know. Because I am fed up.
I considered withdrawing my profile and starting over but I have read that if you do that. The system doesn't let you resubmit. You have to start a new myCIC account. Then it shows you have two accounts and it doesn't give you a code to join the job bank. And basically you get all messed up and locked out.
Please help, advise
